ECM Biosciences is located in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. We manufacture and test all of our antibody tools In-House. The founders of ECM Biosciences each have over 25 years experience in antibody manufacturing, distribution, and sales. Our products are sold to scientists in the U.S. and throughout the world. These customers use our antibody tools to study proteins involved in human diseases, such as cancers, immune dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, and brain disorders.

Meet the Team

Mark T. Wilson, Ph.D. R&D Director, Co-Founder

Mark Wilson PhDMark was born and raised in Southern California. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from UC Irvine and attended graduate school at the University of Georgia, where he obtained M.S. and Ph.D. Degrees in the Neurosciences. After many years of research studying brain development and spinal cord injuries, Mark was drawn to Lexington to pursue a job in industry. He has over 20 years of experience developing research reagents, including mouse monoclonal and rabbit polyclonal antibodies. Mark is married with three children, and his family enjoys being in the outdoors as often as possible with activities such as running, kayaking, and biking.

Michael Moylan Operations Director, Co-Founder

Mike MoylanMike was born and raised near Detroit, Michigan. He attended school at Michigan State University where he received a B.S. in Forensic Science. After graduation, he moved to Lexington and began work in the biotechnology industry. Mike has over 25 years experience with mouse monoclonal and rabbit polyclonal antibody manufacturing, as well as extensive experience with research reagent distribution and sales. Mike is married with one child, and his family enjoys living and working on their farm in the beautiful Bluegrass region of Kentucky.

Tavis Mendez, Ph.D.  R&D Scientist I

Tavis Mendez, PhDTavis is originally from Texas and grew up in a number of cities as his family was working in diplomacy. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pathobiology from the University of Texas at El Paso. Although his main area of work was in parasitology, he has also travelled across the USA and to Asia to study cancer and hypertension. While working in several fields, Tavis also managed lab activities and budgets. He now applies all of his experience into ECM Biosciences to produce high quality antibodies for research purposes. Outside the lab, Tavis spends his free time crafting, cooking, and dancing. 

Leobarda Robles-Martinez, Ph.D. R&D Scientist I

Leobarada Robles-Martinez PhDLeobarda is from Mexico, where she attended the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology. Her curiosity and commitment has led her to travel abroad and worked in a range of fields including plant mycology, human intestinal parasite, and cancer research where she developed several technical and management skills that she uses in her current position at ECM Biosciences. Leo enjoys spending her free time between dancing and crafting projects.

Matthew L. Williams Customer Representative

Matthew WilliamsMatthew was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, attending school at the University of Kentucky where he received a B.S. in English Literature, and an M.A. in Secondary Education. Before jumping into the field of biosciences, Matthew had plans to become a Chemistry or English Literature teacher. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cinema, and writing horror fiction.
